Veron Capital B.V. was established in 2009 and operates as an independent Dutch privately owned company in the financial services sector. Veron Capital and its subsidiaries are active in the following areas:
- short-term bridging finance
- specialized residential mortgages
- modular services to a number of major Dutch banks
Veron is focussed on growing subsidiaries with expertise in the origination and servicing of specialized mortgages (including Buy to Let and Self Employed) and short-term Bridging loans within the Dutch residential property market.
Veron and its subsidiaries have a long track record of building value through the full mortgage and bridging loan cycle. This is built on the cornerstone of delivering tailored client centric services which put the asset owner in control with jointly developed bespoke origination and servicing strategies delivering real added value.
Veron has, and will continue to, exploit the lack of effective competition in the Dutch specialized mortgage and short-term bridging markets due to a shortage of specific expertise in these markets and a ‘one size fits all’ approach adopted by other players in the market.

Charles Sogtoen
Charles has more than 28 years experience in the financial services sector. Prior to joining Veron, Charles was a senior manager within ING’s financial services group responsible for insurance and mortgage products and MD for Lehman Brothers. He holds a law degree from Leiden University and a MBA from Rochester & Nyenrode University.
Marcel Rasker
Marcel has over 25 years experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Veron, he held various senior management positions in the financial industry. Marcel was MD of Bank of Scotland Netherlands (Lloyds Bank) for a period of 4 years, was MD for Lehman Brothers for a period of 4 years and worked as a managing partner of a Management Consultancy responsible for the financial services industry unit. Marcel holds a MSc. in Business Administration from Technical University of Twente.
Richard Bolton
Richard has over 35 years of experience in the financial services sector. Prior to joining Veron, Richard held senior management positions in 2 FTSE 100 companies, was Sales Director at the UK’s largest mortgage Intermediary, worked as MD at Saffron Building Society where he was responsible for it becoming the fastest growing Building Society in the UK and was MD at Lehman Brothers. He holds an MBA from Warwick University, a degree in Banking and is a qualified UK financial planner.
